Karnataka Telemedicine Trust (KTT)

Karnataka Telemedicine Trust (KTT),Department of Health and Family Welfare Services of Govt. of Karnataka entrusted the responsibility of establishing and running Karnataka Telemedicine Network to VGSL throug Keonics. This covers establishing 26 centres at District Hospitals and 11 centres at Specialty Hospitals supported by a 3-station call centre and a central server at State Data Center.The scope encompasses supply,installation and commissioning of Hardware and Software at all the centres as well as at Server.Operations on the network are run by a team 37 technicians located at 37 centres and supported by a small team of Manager/technicians at VGSL.The network operations began in the month of December 2014 and the network is operating vibrantly providing effective health-care/advice through telemedicine. Highlight of the network is the Electronic Medical Record that is stored centrally and serves as a basis for case-history and recurring consultation requirements.

Karnataka Prisons Department

Karnataka Prisons Department entrusted the responsibility of establishing the telemedicine centres at Central Prisons at Bengaluru and Belgaum to VGSL through Keonics. the scope of telemedicine centre was enhanced to provide qualified doctors,laboratory technicians for normal clinical treatment and increased diagnostic capabilities complementing the existing facilities at prisons.The network leverages the facilities established under KTT network.The network began its operations in March 2014 and continues its regular activities under VGSL's team of medical and telemedicine experts.

Private Security Management System (PSMS)

VGSL is developing this web application that supports the regulating agency to manage all the private security agencies in the state. PSMS manages more than 800+ private security agencies across Karnataka with more than 500000 security guards. This application manages the data related to each guard and his movement across the security agencies. It also maintains all the finger print bio-metric of each guard.

Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement

Govt. of Karnataka entrusted a Project to KEONICS to develop a Management Information System (MIS) for the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement (DCRE). VGSL, being the trusted technical partner of KEONICS, conceived & implemented the said project successfully in 2019. The project consisted of a network of seven remote locations at district offices connected to their Head Office in Bangalore.

The functional requirements of the Directorate are i) Investigation of Atrocity cases, ii) Enquiries into Land Disputes, iii) Caste Certificate Verification, iv) Crime cases and Case proceedings. The facility is extended to district offices to capture the relevant information and store in the system. The information/data captured at district offices is made available to the Senior Management of the Directorate in the form of a Dashboard and several reports. The information is retrieved at different levels of officers through an authorization and authentication process. The system is capable of extending the facility to other Govt. departments if necessary. All data is safely stored in the Head Office server which is connected to seven district offices. This critical data is also transferred to the cloud server as a Backup to be available for retrieval in case of any exigency including a Disaster event.

VGSL has supplied the Hardware, Software and the required network accessories to connect the remote locations, Central server and the cloud. This project is a simple but unique, pioneering and most successful project executed in the Directorate till date.

Sainik Welfare and Resettlement

Govt. of Karnataka entrusted a Project to KEONICS to develop a Management Information System (MIS) for the Sainik Welfare and Resettlement (SWR). VGSL, being the trusted technical partner of KEONICS, conceived & implemented the said project successfully in 2019. The project consisted of a network of remote locations at district offices connected to e-Governance data centre in Bangalore.

The functional requirements of the Sainik Welfare are
I. Capture and manage database of ex-service men including martyrs widows and family members
II. Manage correspondence at Directorate
III. Fund management including Welfare Fund, Special Fund, Flag Day Fund, Governor's Defense Fund
IV. Other Services request tracking including Issue of Identity Card, Employment Registration
V. Grievance addressing system
VI. Report generation of Districts and Directorate based on the database
VII. Individual Ex-service men can login and update the details and upon approval
VIII. From the authority it would be reflected in the records.
IX. Individual Ex-service men can raise Grievance & other service requests
X. Finger print capture along with other details using biometrics

The facility is extended to district offices to capture the relevant information and store in the system. The information/data captured at district offices is made available to the Senior Management of the Sainik Welfare in the form of a Dashboard and several MIS reports. The information is retrieved at different levels of officers through an authorization and authentication process. All data is safely stored in the e-Governance data centre which is connected to remote locations of district offices.

This project is a simple but unique, pioneering and most successful project executed in the Sainik Welfare till date.

Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force

Govt. of Karnataka entrusted a Project to KEONICS to develop a Management Information System (MIS) for the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF). VGSL, being the trusted technical partner of KEONICS, conceived & implemented the said project successfully in 2019.

The functional requirements of the Task Force are i) Investigation of Property & Land disputes, ii) Receiving Consumer complaint, iii) Preliminary Enquiry, iv) FIR, v) Case diary & Proceedings. The facility is unique for this office to capture the relevant information and store in the system. The information/data captured at the office is made available to the Senior Management of the Task Force in the form of a Dashboard and several MIS reports. The information is retrieved at different levels of officers through an authorization and authentication process. All data is safely stored in the e-Governance data centre.

This project is a simple but unique, pioneering and most successful project executed in the Task Force till date.

Karnataka Housing Board

Govt. of Karnataka entrusted a Project to KEONICS to develop a Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB). VGSL, being the trusted technical partner of KEONICS, Design, Development, Deployment & implementation is in process. The project consisted of a network of remote locations at district offices connected to their Head Office in Bangalore.

The primary objective of KHB is to make schemes and to carry out works for the purpose of dealing with and satisfying the need of housing accommodation'. With this directive KHB endeavors to provide housing to the people of Karnataka at affordable cost and therefore recognized as the most important agency for housing throughout Karnataka. The objective of ERP project is to improve efficiency, Transparency, better accountability and performance management. The critical issue faced by KHB to monitor customer’s refunds and payments at various remote locations of district offices.

The functional requirements of the Housing Board are i) Procurement of Land, ii) Layout Planning, iii) Execution of Layout Plan, iv) Allotment process, v) Financial process, vi) Legal process, vii)Administration, viii) Recovery process and ix) Customer Resource Management. The facility is extended to district offices to capture the relevant information and store in the system. The information/data captured at district offices is made available to the Senior Management of the Housing Board in the form of a Dashboard and several MIS reports. The information is retrieved at different levels of officers through an authorization and authentication process. The system is capable of extending the facility to other Govt. departments if necessary. All data is safely stored in the e-Governance data centre which is connected to district offices.
